Belew has played with Frank Zappa, David Bowie, the Talking Heads and King Crimson among many others. |

| The Prisoners of 2nd Ave. with special guest, Willie Nile Thursday, July 17 @ 8pm Jimmy Vivino's brainchild started as a "deeper cuts from my favorite records dating 1967 through 1973" type of band. Everything had to have a Who or Cream type of power trio sound. After calling John Conte and Rich Pagano to complete the trio, they soon realized their sound embodied the energy & spirit of Bill Graham's Fillmore East & with Jimmy's knowledge of the flow of an evening at the venue, they began to design a somewhat psychedelic yet soaring, streamlined show. Willie Nile made his recording debut in 1980 with his acclaimed self-titled LP on Arista Records, followed a year later by Golden Down. He followed those, in 1991, with Places I Have Never Been on Columbia. With 1992's Hard Times in America (a cult favorite throughout Europe. "Nile is a songwriters’ songwriter," Lucinda Williams opined, “Willie Nile is a great artist. If there was any justice in this world, I’d be opening up for him instead of him for me.” Please join Willie and Po2a for an evening of music and the official release party for Willie's new live dvd, Willie Nile Live From The Streets of New York. |

| Blues Guitar Heroes Night with Coco Montoya & Popa Chubby Tues, August 12th @ 7pm Coco Montoya first met Paul Barerre and Little Feat at a blues festival and according to Barerre, “Coco’s playing was inspirational to me - great tone and attitude.” The band invited Montoya to their annual Feat Festival in Jamaica two years in a row. “Our fans took to him like butter on bread”, recalls Barerre. “He fit in so well with the band that I knew I had to produce him. I really wanted to get that live feel from him on a recording, and that’s just what we did.”
The ever-prolific Popa Chubby returns with a new CD of hard-hitting rock ‘n’ roll, Deliveries After Dark, a collection of balls-out Blues/Rock played with reckless abandon, no apologies, visceral and heavy, with a few surprises thrown in – such as the theme from “The Godfather” rearranged as a surf guitar instrumental, and the spacey and evocative “Woman In My Bed Dub,” a reggae tune as thick with smoke as a Kingston club. Popa Chubby continues to rule the road with his high-octane ax work and uncompromising, in your face attitude, resulting in a supercharged mix that spits fire at every turn.

| Chris Smither / Sonny Landreth DOUBLE BILL–Wed, Aug 20th @ 7pm Only
"CHRIS SMITHER taps his foot to keep the rhythm, much like the late blues legend John Lee Hooker. His finger-picked guitar lines are sleek, unhurried and insistent. And then there's the voice – equal parts gravel and molasses, Smither's singing sounds like a distillation of the folk and blues heroes he grew up listening to in New Orleans" - National Public Radio "SMITHER is an American original, a product of the musical melting pot, and one of the absolute best singer-songwriters in the world" - AP
Eric Clapton says "[SONNY LANDRETH] is probably the most underestimated musician on the planet and also probably one of the most advanced.” Within the last year, Landreth performed at Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. He recently performed with Jimmy Buffett at Fenway Park and appears on Buffett’s first number one album, License to Chill.
